I think 2.0 should stick to drums but have
more options eg. tom toms, basic floor
base but not electric or sound edited,
ryde cymbals, more crash cymbals, also if
you can i was wondering if you could make
individual timing like just changing tempo
a single instrument beat.

sorry about my grammar im only 13

p.s 1.0 is awesome keep up the good work

We pretty much have that... it's in tuareg and moonfish. I like hammerhead but there are other programs including ones made by the guy who made it that do more stuff. A hammerhead skin for tuareg or tunafish would be nice though.

Actually it doesn't even have to be midi compatible, just have a way that the channels and banks and measures etc can be triggered by the keyboard. That would rock!

Um, HH is a drum machine... Why would you add bass and keys to a drum machine?

D-R-U-M...

HH Version 2 should be an improvement of what it is, not a new instrument that has nothing to do with the original.

Google: "synthesizer VST free," buy a current copy of Computer Music Magazine, this issue they are giving away a full free version of one of the greatest synths out there, Cakewalk's ZeTa+.

If you want more sounds, CM Magazine also has a dual layer DVD with literally THOUSANDS of free drum sounds, or you can check out the sample titans... Loopmasters.com, Producerloops.com, WaveAlchemy.com, BigFishAudio.com. Buy a sample library, place them in THIS sampler, and you've got your update. And upgrade is about features, not content and presets.

Because of it's sequencer-style GUI, MIDI and playing from the keyboard is more work than it's worth for the developer. You can just click in what you want played. In order to incorporate that, the developer would have to drop the entire sequencer or create code to tie in the MIDI data, which is more work than it's worth, considering the current method isn't broken... Plenty of programs out there that allow you to do that, just take these sounds and use another program to play them.

For what it is, HH is a pretty good representation of a 909. The idea to allow users to use their own samples was a great one, and if I recall correctly, the 909 didn't allow that. The only thing that I can think of that HH could really benefit from, without changing what it is, is increasing the number of sounds you can use at once. Even an increase to 8 sounds at a time really opens up a lot of doors, but the algorithm is already there, all you would have to do is add more channels, which I'm assuming is copy and paste for the code, and then tying them in. Giving HH the ability to use 12 or 16 sounds at once opens up doors for other genres of music, specifically DnB, but also gives the user the ability to create more realistic sounding drum beats by adding in a ghetto rigged version of velocity sensitivity. E.g. multiple versions of the same kick drum at different levels and slightly different samples, etc.

Just more channels. The rest is more or less already there or not what HH is intended for.
