"Hi. I'm a bass player and I use hammerhead as a metronom. It's light and it does the job. I often play the funky drummer lick (really groovy, who's the drummer?) for two measures, and then thwo measures of silence - my job is to keep the bass line in rythm and be exactly on the first time when the lick plays again. Very good exercise to develop groove. Maybe you could improve hammerhead by allowing real down tempos (say down to 10 bpm), since down tempos are often used by musiciens improve their rythm consistency. I know I could do it ny programming white instead of black notes, but it'd be way easier to do it directly on the tempo selector. Nice work, very useful. Thanks a lot!"

"Hammerhead is a great tool. In 15 minutes I had figured out how to use all six channels, picking any of the pre-programmed sounds for any channel... then how to use the sample importer thing to get any sounds of my own in there (my African djembe drum). There is a comment above, some guy who could only get one drum going at a time. For him, he was EDITING one drum's beats. If he had KEPT the beats, then switched to another channel, he could have added another sound, and what beats it should have... the software is just great. It takes a little playing with to get the feel for it, that's all. Incidentally, if you have a multitrack recording program like "Cakewalk" you can create MORE than 6 drum tracks by just layering them into the other software. Thanks a lot for the great tool. I hope to use it to create some drum loops as the foundation for some guitar tunes. When my CD goes Platinum, I will give you some of the royalties!!! (har) Bob "
